Arizona Adult Education Programs Receive Additional $500,000

After The Arizona Republic’s Lily Altavena reported on stagnant funding and long waitlists for adult education programs across the state, those programs are now getting an additional $500,000.
The Governor’s Office announced the injection of funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act on Thursday.
The funds were allocated in coordination with state Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman, and her department anticipates that at least 500 more students will be able to enroll in adult education programs thanks to this investment.
